The course aims to empower teaching staff of TVET institutions and universities to improve their teaching and learning methodology by introducing them into the concept and philosophy of CBET, which is the fundament for all modern TVET approaches, methods and standards. It focusses on the transformation from traditional input-oriented teaching and rote learning to more modern, effective and outcomes-oriented approaches, focussing on the students, their learning outcomes and the world of work.

This course is designed to support TVET
personnel in selecting teaching methods that will lead to requested learning
outcomes. The application of effective teaching methods is a key factor for the
learning process and can be targeted to the acquisition of intended
competencies. In this course, steps to apply these methods are described and
practised so that participants are enabled to manage and quality assure
learning processes, and to take important decisions towards the quality of a
student’s learning.
